Farzana & Steven

HER STORY
We met through a mutual friend. I was actually trying to get out of going that night due to previous commitment with other friends. Not wanting to back out after already saying yes, I decided to go for a bit and see my other friends after. Steven walked in with the flashiest smile in the room and we clicked instantly. I still remember to this day the red t-shirt he wore tucked halfway in, jeans and white tennis shoes. I made fun of him all night for coming to a upscale place with tennis shoes on, and he laughed it off with self assurance. I watched him dance with his rico suave moves and the sexy confidence he easily ensued. As we started talking, we realized we both worked at the same hospital and neither one of us knew it! He made me laugh the whole time and there was no denying the chemistry. Eventually, when the night came to an end and we had to part ways, surprisingly he never asked for my number. I assumed he wasn’t interested and wasn’t meant to be. But he got my number from our mutual friend and texted me that night. Steven had my heart ever since.
HIS STORY
I’ll never forget it…It was November of 2006 on what would have been an otherwise boring night alone, a good friend of mine called and asked me to go out with a couple of work friends. I honestly was pretty tired and exhausted from grad school studies and graciously declined. I was baited by one simple phrase…”there’s gonna be a really pretty girl there.” I remember walking into the restaurant like it was yesterday… Sullivan's Steakhouse in north Dallas was the spot…for whatever reason that night, the place was hoppin’. I mean it was packed! There were people everywhere…eating, talking, laughing, and of course with the music blaring…the dance floor was packed. I didn't have to be alerted to who Farzana was…without a doubt the most beautiful girl in the place. Not much time passed before she and I were talking and joking…and as the night progressed it almost seemed as if she and I were the only two people in this busy place. We talked and talked and then just as quickly as our chemistry had clicked…it was time to leave. I thought the night went great and I knew I wanted to ask her out…there was only one problem. I never asked for or got her number. At the risk of appearing desperate, I looked at my buddies phone and got her number without her permission. I sent her a text that night and the rest his history…sometimes taking the risk is worth it!
